This Privacy Policy explains how Quran Academy ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, the My Quran Official mobile application, and related online learning services (together, the "Services").

1. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account details — name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, role (student, guardian, teacher), and profile information you provide.
• Learning data — class schedules, attendance, homework, progress notes, and related academic records.
• Payment information — subscription and invoice details. Card details for saving a payment method are entered in Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS / MCB) hosted fields; we do not store your full card number or CVV on our servers. We may store a masked card reference (for example brand and last four digits) and a payment token to charge invoices you authorize.
• Device and usage data — app/device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from network data, crash logs, and how you interact with the Services.
• Communications — messages you send to support, and push/in-app notification delivery tokens needed to alert you about classes and billing.

2. How we use information

• Provide and operate Quran classes, scheduling, homework, and progress tracking.
• Create and manage accounts for students, guardians, and teachers.
• Process subscriptions, trials, invoices, and payments.
• Send class reminders, call/ringing alerts, billing notices, and service updates.
• Improve safety, security, and reliability of the Services.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

3. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Services, including with:

• Teachers and academic staff assigned to a student's classes (limited to what is needed for teaching and reporting).
• Payment processors such as Mastercard Payment Gateway Services / MCB for card saving and charges.
• Infrastructure providers that host our servers, databases, video calling, and push notification delivery.
• Legal or regulatory authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Video classes and communications

Live classes may use video and audio. Participants (student/guardian and teacher) can see and hear each other during a session. We process session metadata (such as start/end times and attendance) to operate the class service. Do not share sensitive personal information in class chat or recordings unless necessary for learning.

5. Children and guardians

Our Services are designed for Quran learning and are often used by families. Where a student is a minor, a parent or guardian should create or supervise the account, manage billing, and consent to use of the Services on the student's behalf.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, meet legal/accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Payment records may be retained as required for financial compliance.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong password and keep your login details private.

8. Your choices

• Update profile details in the app or by contacting support.
• Manage notification permissions in your device settings.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of personal data where applicable by law.
• Cancel a subscription according to the Terms & Conditions and billing rules shown in the app.

9. International processing

Information may be processed on servers in countries other than where you live. Where we do so, we take steps appropriate to the nature of the data and applicable law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
